China Catalyst Abrasion Index Tester

ZYLL-1B Catalyst Abrasion Index Tester is used to measure the grinding and wear properties of catalysts under spouting fluidization. This instrument meets requirements of RIPP29-90、Q/TSH3490 909—2006 standards and can be used to determine the abrasion index of FCC catalysts, microsphere aluminum silicate, powdered chemical catalysts and carbon powders.
Instrument characteristics:
● It has humidifying function.
● The automatic timing vibration function can reduce the electrostatic load in the fluidization process and enable electrostatic sticky wall particles fall off to ensure the accuracy of measurement.
● The injection pressure can be set in the range of 0.1-0.6 MPa to meet abrasion evaluation requirements of different products.
● Loading and discharging mode of bottom movable barrel is convenient for operation, which improves work efficiency and reduces the influence of human factors.
● The instrument is equipped with two tubes to meet requirements for analysis and inspection of production quality control process of different users.
● Reducing valve-mass flow rate, automatic control system of digital pressure gauge and other configurations meet the needs of users.
● Compared with similar foreign products, it has more functions, more humanized operation, wider scope of application and cheaper price.

The Catalyst Abrasion Index Tester represents the next generation of attrition testing technology, combining robust mechanical design with intelligent automation to deliver accurate, high-repeatability abrasion indices for spherical, extruded, and irregular-shaped catalyst particles. In fluidized catalytic cracking (FCC), methanol-to-olefins (MTO), and hydroprocessing units, even minor variations in catalyst strength can cause significant losses through elutriation, increasing makeup rates and contaminating downstream equipment. Our Catalyst Abrasion Index Tester addresses these challenges by subjecting samples to controlled impingement and shearing forces that closely replicate industrial circulation loops. With a built-in digital mass flow controller and interchangeable nozzle sizes, the Catalyst Abrasion Index Tester accommodates a wide particle size range (from 20 µm to 5 mm), ensuring that one single platform serves all your catalyst testing needs, from early-stage development to production batch release.

Operational simplicity and data integrity are at the heart of our Catalyst Abrasion Index Tester’s design. The system features an intuitive color HMI that guides users through test parameter setup—including test duration, gas flow rate, and temperature—while logging all critical metrics such as differential pressure, humidity, and fines generation kinetics. Unlike conventional manual methods, our Catalyst Abrasion Index Tester automatically calculates the abrasion index, fines percentage, and statistical deviation, exporting results in CSV or PDF formats for seamless LIMS integration. The attrition tube and particle collector are engineered with antistatic coatings to minimize sample adhesion, a common source of error in lesser designs. Additionally, the Catalyst Abrasion Index Tester offers an optional dual-reactor configuration, enabling simultaneous side-by-side comparisons of reference and test catalysts, effectively doubling productivity without compromising accuracy.

From a maintenance and compliance perspective, the Catalyst Abrasion Index Tester is designed for rapid disassembly, with all wetted parts replaceable in under five minutes, minimizing downtime between tests. We supply a complete starter kit, including certified fines collection filters, precision sieves, and a cleaning brush set, so your lab can begin operation immediately upon installation. Our global technical support team offers remote diagnostics, on-site calibration, and annual performance verification for every Catalyst Abrasion Index Tester sold. Furthermore, we provide customized test methods for proprietary catalyst systems, ensuring that your Catalyst Abrasion Index Tester evolves with your process improvements. By choosing our Catalyst Abrasion Index Tester, you are not just buying an instrument—you are gaining a strategic partner dedicated to reducing catalyst consumption, improving reactor stability, and ultimately lowering your total cost of ownership.
